CITY OF WYOMING PROJECTS
Division Avenue Watermain – 36th St to 44th St (including work on Maplelawn) (Dykema Excavating)
Pavement has been removed on Division Avenue from 44th Street to Bellevue Street. Street is open to local businesses, but closed to through traffic. The best way to access businesses is from side streets. Contractor is installing watermain, working from south to north.
Wyoming City Center Bridge Project (Anlaan Construction)
The contractor is working on the pedestrian bridge over 28th Street. Periodic Lane closures are planned on 28th Street. Curb and Gutter replacement is planned on Hook Avenue. This will restrict the street to 1 lane.
Wyoming City Center Trail Project (Katerberg-Verhage and Strain Electric)
The contractor plans to pour ADA ramps on Dehoop Avenue and Newstead by the end of the week. Periodic daytime lane closures are planned for pouring concrete and utility work. Work on HAWK signal on Dehoop continues this week.
PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
Benteler Automotive Fireline (4011 Stafford Ave., SW) – Dan Hoe Excavating
Watermain installation and testing are complete. Tie-in has not yet been scheduled. Tie-in will require closure of 40th Street.
Corewell Health Watermain & Fireline (300 – 36th St., SW) – Connan Inc.
Watermain testing delayed last week, expected to begin this week. Contractor working on concrete bike path along Buchanan Avenue. Right Turn lane and traffic signal on 36th Street scheduled later this spring.
Godwin Mercado (36th St. Market) Watermain – GVL Excavating
Contractor has completed underground utility work. Drive approaches on 36th Street are planned in the next couple weeks.
Holtwood Street (old GM Plant off Buchanan Ave) – Dan Hoe Excavating
Contractor is working on storm sewer with road construction to follow. Entrance on Buchanan is planned to start in a couple weeks and will require a lane closure.
Malta Woods (N. off 56th, E of Wilson) – Fischer Idema
Watermain passed all testing, tie-in complete. Contractor working on installing waterservices. Contractor plans to connect storm sewer in 56th Street in a couple of weeks.
Rivertown Valley Phase 7 (Reserve Drive/Nile Drive area) – Schippers Excavating
Contractor expects to complete sewer this week and start work on watermain.
