Recreation Services provides over 400 annual recreation and leisure programs to the citizens of Wyoming and the surrounding community.  These programs serve people of all ages and include fitness, sports, creative arts, education and social activities along with special events.  The links below will provide you details on our most current programs offered.

How to Register: 

Listed below are three (3) easy ways to register for programs!  Registration is on a first come, first served basis.

Online

Online registration is available for most of our programs. Please contact our office at 616-530-3164 if you experience any issues with the online registration system.

Phone-In

Phone-In registration 616-530-3164 during open office hours.

Walk-In

Visit us and bring the registration form and check, cash or Visa/MasterCard information to the appropriate office any time between 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Program Cancellations and Refunds

Refunds will be made only in cases in which a class or program must be cancelled by the Parks and Recreation Department, or in cases as a result of department action when changes in class day, time or site prevent an individual’s participation. The City of Wyoming reserves the right to limit registrations or cancel any program due to lack of enrollment. If a class must be cancelled, you will be notified and sent a full refund. If you do not hear from our department, please go to your first class as scheduled. 

Weather Policy

Cancellations of programs due to weather will be updated on our daily activity recording at 616-530-3187, the City web site or Facebook.

Americans With Disabilities Act

The City of Wyoming fully supports the ADA and will undertake the necessary action to comply with its provisions. If you have special needs to participate in the programs offered, please contact the Parks and Recreation Office at 616-530-3164 to discuss your needs.

Scholarships Available

Wyoming Senior Fellowship Club, Inc.

The Wyoming Senior Fellowship Club, Inc. of the Wyoming Senior Center believes that all seniors have a need for recreation and continued education. The Fellowship Club has dedicated funds for the purpose of granting club members to participate in classes sponsored by the Wyoming Parks and Recreation Department.

If you qualify under the guidelines below and are a current member of the Wyoming Fellowship Club, and would like to register for a class sponsored by the Wyoming Senior Center, simply fill out the application on the reverse side of this flyer and return it to the office at the WSC. All information is confidential. Our main objective is to provide all members the opportunity to participate. If you have any questions, call (616) 530-3190.

Youth Program Scholarships

The city of Wyoming offers either a 50% or 75% scholarship for all programs open to youth, 17 years old and under. To apply, families must be residents of the City of Wyoming and qualify based on household income listed on application. The percentage of the scholarship is based on the income of the household.
