Adopt-A-Park
Adopt-A-Park is a volunteer program in which citizens, area businesses or organizations can assist in the enhancement and preservation of local parks, nature preserves and green spaces. Download the brochure.
Why adopt a park? There are so many reasons, but here are just a few –
- Help keep your neighborhood parks safe and clean
- Build a closer, stronger community
- Protect the environment
- Beautification and preservation of green space

Volunteer Opportunities

- Commercial Bingo
Volunteer opportunities for callers, floor walkers, ticket sales, concession sales, etc., exist. For more information, please e-mail or call 616-530-3164.
- Grocery Bingo

- Senior Program Instructors
Volunteer instructors with a specific skill or knowledge (i.e. bilingual, photography, sewing, etc.) are needed for senior programming. For more information, please e-mail or call 616-530-3190.
- Youth Program Support
Volunteer support is needed for the Youth Pumpkin Path. For more information, please e-mail or call 616-530-3164.
- Youth Soccer Coaches
Volunteers are needed for weekly practices and games. Seasons are 10-11 weeks long. For more information, please e-mail or call 616-530-3164.

- Park Maintenance
This seasonal position involves various general labor tasks, which fall within the park system. Must be able to work in various climates and operate light equipment. Must work various schedules that include weekends and 2nd shift. Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Program Instructors, Supervisors and Coaches

Umpires are needed for spring, summer, and fall softball leagues. Umpires must possess a satisfactory understanding of umpiring mechanics and softball rules.
