The City of Wyoming Engineering Department is accepting applications for a Part-Time Engineering Technician to join its team. The Engineering Technician is responsible for various phases of utility permit administration (application review, tracking and mapping, inspection, closure, and record-keeping). Work involves both office and fieldwork.  Office work will include detailed and technical engineering review of permit plans, review of as-built drawings, and utility conflict recognition.  Applicants should be able to read and understand blueprint designs and be familiar with computers and software.  Responsibilities also include field work inspecting site work for utility contractors’ workmanship, traffic control, and site restoration. This position is responsible for preparing detailed records, reports, and correspondence; and works with a diverse group of external and internal contacts at different levels of the organization. 

Within its prescribed limits, work is performed with considerable independence without close supervision. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload. This position performs related work as required.
