Do you enjoy working outside and serving your community? The City of Wyoming Public Works Department is looking for you to fill an open Maintenance Technician position! 

The Maintenance Technician position is an excellent opportunity for a new or experienced candidate to learn or refine skills. Candidates with all levels of experience, including those with no experience, are encouraged to apply. 

This position offers many opportunities to work in areas such as snow plowing, water and sewer distribution systems, concrete, and infrastructure repair and maintenance. 

Safety, training, and professional development are a priority at the City of Wyoming. Depending on the job assignment employees will work with various specialized tools and equipment such as backhoes, salt spreaders with wing plows, hydro-excavators, and dump trucks. The regular work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM for a full-time 38-hour work week. Employees also respond to emergencies and have overtime opportunities. Work is performed in individual or crew settings depending on the job assignment. 

Employees progressively gain experience, learn to plan and prioritize a diverse workload, and obtain licenses such as a commercial driver's license (CDL) and water distribution license. The city pays for and trains employees to obtain and maintain a CDL and other licenses and certifications. Additionally, the City provides employees with safety boots and shoes, cold-weather gear, and uniforms. 

This position includes a competitive pay and benefits package. Highlights include:
