The City of Wyoming is seeking to hire a Housing Director. Under the direction of the Housing Commission and the City Manager, the Housing Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administration of the city’s Public Housing, and Section 8 programs. The Housing Director manages funding, budget issues, resident qualification processes, maintenance and rehabilitation projects and other operational areas to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This position works closely with internal and external stakeholders to address housing needs and promote safe, sustainable, and affordable housing.  

Candidates should have strong critical thinking and judgment skills, be able to act and respond to difficult situations with tact and diplomacy, and demonstrate excellent management, leadership, and communication skills. Working knowledge of applicable federal and state housing statutes. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in public or business administrations, or related field or equivalent education, training and/or experience.  

This on-site position offers a competitive salary of $92,788.80 – $117,603.20 and a generous employee benefits package including:
