WYOMING, Michigan, May 17, 2017 – The Wyoming Community Enrichment Commission (WCEC) has announced its lineup for Concerts in the Park, the eight-week summer concert series held at Lamar Park in Wyoming. Concerts feature interactive themes, fun games and competitions for kids and adults, great food vendors and inflatable bounce-house equipment.
This year’s lineup includes entertainment for all, including those who may have hearing impairments. Four of the concerts will include sign language interpreters.
“One unique feature of our concert series is the presence of sign language interpreters and their students. It is important to the City of Wyoming that all concert attendees feel welcomed and can fully participate in all that we have to offer,” says Rebecca Rynbrandt Director of Community Services. Interpreters will be made available at the June 6, June 27, July 18, and July 25 shows.
The 2017 schedule includes the following performances:
June 6 – Detroit Circus (circus act for children)
June 13 – Shelagh Brown Band (country)
June 20 – Tejano Sound Band (tejano)
June 27 – Sweet J Band (pop rock)
BRENA (pop rock)
Fireworks after concerts
July 11 – Michatucky (southern rock)
July 18 – 6 Pack (60’s)
July 25 – Toppermost (Beatles tribute)
August 1 – Union Guns (original country)
All concerts are free of charge and open to the public. Performances start at 7:00 P.M. and are held at Lamar Park, 2561 Porter St SW.
