It’s time to ring in the holidays and get the kids together to race for candy canes because the Great Candy Cane Hunt is right around the corner!
The City of Wyoming Parks and Recreation Department is excited to once again host the Great Candy Cane Hunt – a fun-filled event for families on Saturday, December 9 held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The event begins outdoors in front of the Wyoming Police Department, 2300 De Hoop Ave, and then moves indoors to the Wyoming Senior Center, 2380 De Hoop Ave. Santa Claus will lead kids on a scavenger hunt for the many hidden candy canes outside then head inside for lunch, games and crafts.
“Finding activities in which families can enjoy the outdoors during a Michigan winter is important for healthy lifestyles,” said Rebecca Rynbrandt, director of community services for the City of Wyoming. “What better way to celebrate the holiday season, give Santa a hug, and enjoy fresh air, than to come together and enjoy The Great Candy Cane Hunt.”
The cost to participate for kids, 3-14 years old is $4 ($6 for non-residents). Additional family members over 14 are invited to attend and enjoy lunch for $2. Pre-registration is required. To register call 616-530-3164 or www.wyomingmi.gov/PRRegistration.
