Wyoming Gives Back has been canceled. With COVID-19 cases on the rise across West Michigan and overwhelmed health care systems, we’re following guidance from our state and county health departments to keep our community and employees safe.

Wyoming, Michigan, November 15, 2021 – The City of Wyoming will host its 11th annual Wyoming Gives Back event Dec. 2 to collect toys for the Salvation Army Angel Tree and celebrate the holiday season.

Wyoming Gives Back will take place 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wyoming Senior Center, 2380 DeHoop Ave. SW. The evening will be filled with festive activities, including live holiday music, hot cocoa, cookies and photos with Santa Claus.

Event attendees who bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Salvation Army Angel Tree will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win gifts donated by Wyoming businesses.

“ ’Tis the season for joy as our community comes together again to celebrate the holidays,” Wyoming Mayor Jack Poll said. “We encourage Wyoming residents and community members to join the festivities, which will include a great lineup of local school choirs and bands, holiday treats and gift giving.”

The groups scheduled to share the sounds of the season are:

  • Salvation Army Band
  • Wyoming High School Jazz Band
  • Concert Voices of Lee High School

Residents are encouraged to bring their children to meet and visit with members of the Wyoming Police and Fire departments as well as Santa Claus.

At last year’s virtual event, more than 800 toys were collected and the City raffled off nearly $3,500 in prizes from local businesses.
