Important Information:

* Final Readings are done Monday through Thursday. If you are moving in Friday-Sunday, the final reading can be self obtained and reported by calling 616-530-7389. We will still obtain a reading on the closest business day for validation of self reported reading. (your meter is most likely in your basement, and may require a flashlight to activate the display)

* Purchaser or renter must provide the following documents using this form, or through e-mail to UB_Info@wyomingmi.gov or brought to the Treasurer's Office. Transfer will not take place until these documents are provided. Service may be discontinued if documents are not provided.

For Buyers:

Copy of Property transfer affidavit from closing documents
Copy of state issued I.D. (does not have to be Michigan ID if moving from out of state)

For Renters:

$150.00 deposit (deposit is applied toward final bill when moving out or refunded if no balance is due. Service may be discontinued if deposit is not paid timely.)
Copy of lease indicating renter is responsible for water and sewer payment
Copy of state issued I.D. (does not have to be Michigan ID if moving from out of state)

Why do we require this information?

The Secretary of State often requires presentation of Utility Bills to establish identity and we want to do our part to protect the identify of our residents.
We want to ensure accurate spelling of your name and verify the property information from your closing paperwork.
Municipal Water/Sewer Bills are a lien in the State of Michigan and we want to be sure the proper parties are being notified of charges and landlords are protected from unpaid tenant billings.
