Pedestrian Bridge

About

The pedestrian bridge will connect the City Center to various key destinations in the City and increase walkability and mobility in the downtown area. The 12-foot wide ADA accessible bridge will accommodate two-way pedestrian and bicycle traffic across 28th Street. Connections to the north include the non-motorized trail network, Pinery Park, Porter Street businesses, Grace Christian University, and the City of Grand Rapids. To the south, the pedestrian bridge will give access to City Center public space, new mixed-use developments, Wyoming High School, and trail connections to Byron Township.

Construction of the pedestrian bridge begins in January 2025 and finishes in June 2025. The process below show the timeline.
